Quick and Easy Healthy Breakfasts for Your Busiest Mornings

A good start with breakfast. Very wrong to skip it and also consume it too quickly. At breakfast, you have to give the right importance and attention if you want to start the day on the right foot. The advice is that it is balanced, healthy, and able to provide 20-25% of the daily calorie requirement.

Moreover, perhaps not everyone knows it, but a hearty breakfast in the morning helps to awaken the metabolism and therefore, consequently, to burn more fat throughout the day.

Sweet and salty, the important thing is that these ingredients are not lacking

Impossible to suggest an ideal breakfast that everyone agrees on. There are those who prefer sweet and salty, those who have little time available, and those who like to get in the kitchen even in the early morning. The important thing is to include in your breakfast foods such as fruit (preferably in season and from organic farming), fresh milk or low-fat yogurt, cereals (make sure they are not too rich in sugar and fat), and a cup of coffee or tea, strictly sugar-free.

5 healthy menus for a healthy breakfast

  1. Porridge

Typically Anglo-Saxon recipe based on oat flakes cooked in milk. It is served hot or cold for breakfast (depending on your taste) and can be enriched with fruit and spices.

It is prepared like this: mix a cup of oat flakes with a generous cup of milk in a saucepan and cook until the mixture becomes creamy. To flavor it you can add berries, fresh fruit in small pieces, or even chocolate drops, cocoa, raisins, and dried fruit. It can be sweetened to taste with sugar or honey.

  1. Porridge with figs

It is not a smoothie nor a smoothie, let’s start by saying this. The smoothie (in English means light ) is a fruit or vegetable-based drink that has the characteristic of being creamy, frothy, and above all very cold. Unlike the milkshake, it does not contain milk or yogurt but is prepared only with a base of crushed ice. To prepare it at home you just need a blender, so you can blend together with ice and fruit or vegetables of your choice (also combined together). And to make the smoothie even healthier, we recommend adding chia seeds or dried fruit.

For those who love to have breakfast with a fresh and nutritious drink, it is ideal.

  1. Avocado toast

For those who love savory breakfast, this is a really greedy and healthy idea, as well as trendy, especially on social networks.

The basic recipe includes toasted bread and avocado. The bread can be white or wholemeal, for a really healthy breakfast the advice is to choose black rye bread or multi-cereal.

The avocado must be ripe but not too much, soft enough to the touch and possibly with the stalk. If the skin is bright green then it is perfect for this preparation. On the bread, you can arrange it in slices or reduced in cream, diced or spread, and garnish and enrich it in a thousand different ways (with the addition of fruit, honey, cheese, eggs, or even salmon, the choice is yours!).

  1. Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit

Simple and quick recipe but rich in taste, an easy preparation to garnish with seasonal fruit of your choice. The density and creaminess of Greek yogurt then make this breakfast even more greedy and sweet (the Greek yogurt is less acidic than the classic one) and the combination with granola (even better if not sweetened) and fruit gives life to a combination of textures and flavors. For an extra touch of sweetness, you can also opt for the addition of a teaspoon of honey.

For a breakfast full of energy!

  1. Oat and egg whites pancakes with fresh fruit

For a super-light breakfast, low in calories and without fat, but with a lot of taste, we can opt for pancakes with oats and egg whites garnished with fresh fruit in small pieces.

The recipe is really simple: 120 gr of egg whites (equal to the egg whites of 3 eggs), 50 gr of oat flour (or oat flakes or wholemeal flour), salt, 15 gr of brown sugar, and a level teaspoon of yeast for desserts. Beat the egg whites separately until stiff peaks are not very firm. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients and then gradually add the whipped egg whites to the mixture obtained previously. Mix until you get a homogeneous mixture. Take some of the dough with a ladle and pour it into a very hot non-stick pan. Cook 1 minute on each side, turning the pancakes to keep them from burning or sticking.

Once cooked, garnish it with fresh fruit, a few flakes of oats. And if you like it also with maple syrup.
